Newcomers are encouraged to start with our beginner classes to see what Scottish Country Dancing is all about and to give it a go. You are also welcome to come to club nights throughout the year. There is no need for special dress although wearing soft shoes or sneakers would be advantageous (ballet slippers are ideal if you have them).
Throughout the year the region hosts a series of classes for various dancing abilities. These classes provide an opportunity to improve footwork and formations with a greater focus on technique than during weekly club nights.
In 2018 we held a series of six fortnightly classes for New Dancers, a similar series for Lower Intermediate Dancers (approx. 2 years’ experience), an Upper Intermediate day school and an Advanced day school.
